Alison Bologna
Alison has been a registered yoga instructor (RYT-200) with the National Yoga Alliance since 2006. Her vinyasa classes are all about flow and balance. In each class, she guides her students through traditional ashtanga and hatha sequences, with a deliberate emphasis on the breath. She always provides modifications for more difficult postures, and she encourages her students to find and push their own personal edges. Each of Alison’s classes includes: meditation, pranayama (breath work), and an ever-changing series of asanas (postures) paced with a variety of music. Integrity in each posture is emphasized in class to achieve safe and correct alignment from start to finish. Those who practice routinely with Alison quickly experience that each of her classes builds on the next, so they consistently learn something new on both physical and energetic levels.
Alison has trained extensively=2 0with a variety of instructors in Newport, Providence and New York City. When time permits, she attends different workshops and seminars – most recently she completed an ashtanga workshop with David Swenson at Kripalu, and a vinyassa, urban bhakti, seminar with Rusty Wells in New York City.
